Camping with the Powers

Last weekend we went on a short camping retreat with my Best Friend and her family in tow. We arrived shortly (several hours) before they did at Ratcliff Lake Campgrounds, located in Crockett National Forest. Upon arrival, the camp host proceeded to tell us that we should only pay for Friday night camping in case the government shut down happened. What??!!!!

Luckily, the government didn't shut down and we were able to pay for Saturday night the next day. We had lots of fun. Fishing (Daphne caught 2 whoppers), smores by the fire, and hanging out.

*Surprising, Ethan did really well. He went to bed around 9:30ish and slept through the night, waking around 7ish both mornings. We just brought his pack-n-play and that seemed to work for his morning nap and sleeping at night. He ended up skipping his afternoon nap on Friday, it was too hot (had a small case of heat rash-poor baby) and then Saturday, we just drove him around for 30 minutes for his afternoon nap, too hot as well.
