Happy Fall Y'all

Took some fun pictures this morning at the Dallas Arboreteum and then enjoyed a family lunch at the cafe.

 
 
 

Garden of the Gods

We initially tried to go to Garden of the Gods on Thursday, but changed our minds after arriving, deciding that the 25mph winds were just a tad too strong. So we checked weather channel and Friday it was going to be a mere 7mph gust and opted for Friday.


 
 
 

 
 
 

Pikes Peak

We caught the cog railway at Manitou Springs, CO and rode it up to the top of Pikes Peak. It was a 3 hour round trip. It was 25 degrees at the top and did not stay outside very long. They had a gift/snack shop at the top. It was nice and toasty in there. Ethan did really well on the train ride up and down and even took a 30 minute nap on the way down.


 
 
 

 
 
 

As you can see, he wanted to climb on everything. He would get upset when he found out he couldn't climb it.

 

An impromtu hike in Cheyenne Canyon. Joe was wearing flip flops and it also rained on us for a few minutes when we got to the falls. Ethan really enjoyed hiking and didn't want to be done. So snack time made up for it.

Here is a family shot at the Broadmoor Hotel, a very fancy hotel in Colorado Springs. We ended up eating at one of the restaurants on location later in the week for Joe's birthday Dinner.

 

Last week we went on Vacation to Colorado Springs! The first full day there we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This was Ethan's favorite....feeding the giraffes.
