Squirrel!

Look closely, you can see the little rascal! About two weeks ago, I was letting Lucy out and I thought a squirrel was running around on the roof and was going to jump on my head. I turned around and didn't see anything, so I got on the patio chair and saw Mr. Squirrel stuck in our gutter!!

I picked up Lucy and hovered her over the squirrel and a nasty conversation ensued amongst them. I tried to find a stick that would fit through the gutter cover to entice Mr. Squirrel to back out, but he wasn't budging and had some words for me too.

Anyway, when Joe got home we discovered that we could pop the gutter cover up, so we got a garden shovel to shove into one of the sections so that Mr. Squirrel wouldn't continue further down the gutter and then we could pop the cover up hoping we could give him enough room to get out. The second Joe shoved that shovel (ha) in the the gutter cover, the squirrel ran out the way it came in so fast we weren't sure where he went.

Hopefully Mr. Squirrel won't be getting stuck in the gutter anymore.

A Slide!

A week after Ethan's 1st Birthday, Joe's parents came to visit and bought Ethan his first slide. He really likes it and is getting better at climbing it. The last pic is of Ethan when he was still only walking 2-3 steps at a time. Now he's definately walking all over the place. :o)

5 Years for me and Joe

It's coming here quickly. We want to celebrate, but not much cash flow. Trying to figure out what to day.
We sang "Glorious Day" by Casting Crowns at the church we were at this past sunday. This was my favorite part of the song....

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He's coming
Oh Glorious Day, Oh Glorious Day
