6 months old
It's hard to believe my baby is 6 months old and counting!!! Ethan is growing up fast and I'm loving every minute of my time with him. Just in this past week he's really picked up on crawling and with that aquired his first boo boo on his head. Poor baby!
He toughed it out pretty well though. He's had rice and oat cereal. His first fruit, avacado. (although- it's green and doesn't taste too fruity, so I counted it as a veggie) Tonight he's gonna try some green beans, yummy. I just made it, so we'll see what he thinks. He loves his jumparoo and if you're holding his hands while standing, sometimes he uses you as a jumparoo, ha! He's such a happy baby and is constantly smiling. Really only cries if he needs something. He had a 5 day long teething session a week and half ago. So I'm wondering when I'll see some teeth in that mouth of his. However, once they arrive, I will miss that cute cute cute toothless smile.
At his 6 month well check appointment last week, he weighed 14.8 lbs and was 27" long. He's in the 75% for height, but lower on weight, healthy overall. Which doesn't bother me, I like me a skinny baby. He got two shots, boo hiss. He cries when he gets them, but is fine after I hold him.
He loves blowing rasberries with his mouth, so they are called, of which Joe informed me of the proper name, I just called it spitting, whatever. He laughs when mommy and daddy tickle him or do something he thinks is funny. He loves looking at Lucy, and always opens his mouth and leans in for a kiss when she gets close to him. blech. I prefer that if she kiss him, that she licks his arms or legs and not on the mouth. hee hee.
Anyway, that's all I got. I've been pondering a post, to reflect the title of my friend Jen's blog. Honestly. I love how she and others can blog so openly about their thoughts and ideas. So I may be posting an honest post on a topic in the future. er, maybe I'll chicken out, who knows. ha! For now, continue to enjoy the cuteness that is, my baby. Pics below and will continue to follow.
