Goodbye Saturn

Today we sold the Saturn. My Saturn, an old friend. My vehicle for almost 13 years. It went to a good kid, a MTSU student, that needed a good commuter car. He's had 5 saturns before, so he really likes the saturn. We sold it for $1,000 and we'll be using that money to pay for the taxes on my Rogue when we register it.

The guy met Joe today at work, they signed paperwork, did the transaction at the bank and then Joe gave up the keys. It was probably good that it happened that way, not that I would have cried had I been there. But... I think I would have given it a hug goodbye or start reminiscing.

Anyway... the Saturn's gone. Probably a good thing, now we only have to pay for two cars for car insurance.;o)

Here is a pic of me and Ethan during a stop to feed on our trip from TX to TN. This trip really forced me to breastfeed Ethan in public and learn how to use the nursing cover. Thanks Jen for getting me this really cute cover. Before this trip, I would feed Ethan and then go run a quick errand and make sure I was back in time to feed him at home. Now that I've fed him in public with the nursing cover several times during my trip, it's not such a big deal to go out and worry about whether or not I'll have to feed him. Every once in a while I will bring a bottle if I have enough pumped and it makes sense to feed him by bottle while I'm out. More pics to come....

Out with the Old, in with the New
(or at least, new to me)

Below is my 1994 Saturn SC2 Coupe, purchased in 97' when I was 17 years old. It had only 33,000 miles on it. It's gotten me through high school, college, life in Portland, and now it resides in Nashville. Don't know how many miles are on it, b/c when I was a senior in college my odometer stopped working at 89,000; so I sometimes like to guess how many miles are on it. Perhaps 159,000 miles??? maybe more??? Anyway, Joe's been driving my car to/from work as a commuter car. Not sure what we will do with it, I know we aren't going to keep it. Maybe someone will want to buy it off craiglist. Stay tuned....

Below is my soon to be second car, pending the inspection, a 2008 Nissan Rogue SL with 22,500 miles on it and nice things like: tinted windows, roof rack, and a sunroof. It's my second color choice, but for the price, I'm very happy with silver. Plus it's not black or white, two colors I did not want. Stay tuned....

Bath Time

Ethan's first bath in the Spa Baby Tub, or Bucket rather. It was soo cute. He was screaming right before I got him in, then once he was in he got all calm. Still trying to get the hang of bathing him in it. Thanks to Daphne who got me the spa baby.
